Can I get a rapid test for Strep and Flu at the same time?
Yes. MedCare Urgent Care offers a respiratory panel that can test for Strep, Flu, and COVID-19 in a single visit. Results are typically available in 15 minutes so we can determine the right treatment plan immediately.
Do you prescribe antibiotics for a sinus infection?
It depends on the cause. Most sinus infections are viral and clear up on their own, but if your symptoms have lasted more than 7-10 days or are severe, our providers can prescribe antibiotics to treat bacterial sinusitis. Your board certificed practitioner will determine the best course of treatment to get you back to health.
When should I go to Urgent Care vs. the ER for a fever?
You should visit MedCare for fevers below 104°F (or below 102°F for children) accompanied by sore throat, ear pain, or body aches.
If you experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, or a fever that won't break with medication, please visit the Emergency Room.
Do you treat children and infants for illness?
Yes, our providers are experienced in pediatric urgent care. We treat children of all ages for ear infections, pink eye, fevers, and rashes.
