Frequently Asked Questions
Get the answers you need, fast. Below are some common questions about our services, care options, and policies. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us directly.
Do you have X-rays on site?
Yes. All MedCare Urgent Care locations are equipped with state-of-the-art Digital X-Ray technology. We can image chest, arms, legs, hands, and feet immediately. You will receive a copy of your images to take to a specialist if needed.
Can you do stitches at Urgent Care?
Absolutely. Our board certified providers are trained to repair cuts and lacerations using stitches, staples, or surgical glue.
If a cut is on the face or is extremely severe, we may stabilize it and refer you to a specialist, but we can handle the vast majority of wounds.
How do I know if my bone is broken or just sprained?
It is impossible to know for sure without imaging. If you have severe swelling, bruising, or cannot put weight on the limb, come in for an X-ray. It is faster and more affordable than an ER visit.
Do you treat workers' comp injuries?
Yes. We work with local employers to treat on-the-job injuries. We handle the initial exam, X-rays, and follow-up care, and we communicate directly with your employer's insurance to handle the claims paperwork.
